Shantanu is an Emerging Markets investment specialist. He provides investment advice to corporates across Asia Pacific and the Indian subcontinent. He has over 25 years of fund-raising and debt restructuring experience. He is the co-founder and CEO of Indo Pacific Advisors.

Prior to founding Indo Pacific Advisors, he had worked for sustained durations in various Asian jurisdictions to include India, Indonesia and the Philippines. He has been a senior member of top-tier India-based Investment Banks and Private Equity. In addition, he has been a retained advisor on specific landmark debt restructurings in diverse ASEAN geographies. He is also the founder of Kanopus Advisors, a successful boutique corporate advisory firm focusing on the Indian subcontinent.

Shantanu’s fund-raising experience covers the full suite of equity and debt products to include private equity, buyout funds, venture capital, IPO, FPO, PIPE, secondary offers, private credit, distressed debt funds, term loans, syndicated loans and working capital loans.

He has extensive industry exposure covering Telecoms, Media, Technology, BFSI, Cryptos, Logistics, Retail, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Manufacturing and Commodities, among others. He has also worked on Government disinvestment projects. His work has included diverse emerging markets such as India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand.

He has actively advised on dispute resolution matters in diverse jurisdictions such as Singapore International Arbitration Centre, ICC International Court of Arbitration, Indian Council of Arbitration, Singapore High Court, Indian Courts and Courts of England & Wales.

His corporate advisory work includes multiple business/equity valuations, business planning and feasibility studies. Valuations include sectors such as Technology, BFSI, Manufacturing and Biotechnology.

He is a speaker on various forums on country-specific emerging markets macro-economic issues.
